Founded in 1985 as a small operation conducting business, Petra Industries is now leading the industry in distributing consumer technology products for over 800 brands to tens of thousands e-tail and retail partners.
Dealing with over and 800 brands and over 15,000 products, Petra had a challenge of effectively distributing, managing, standardizing, and enriching all of the product data. To add to that, Petra had to improve the process of managing variety of different product related data company frequently receives from vendors in different formats. All of that had to be done to allow multiple users to have easy to use interface allowing multiple users to collaborate on the product information management.
Petra looked to Digital Squared to help them implement Akeneo PIM that was selected to address all of the existing product information management challenges and implement a single source of truth for Petra’s product information. Through the combination of Akeneo’s robust functionality and Digital Squared’s extensive experience implementing product information management systems, Petra was able to automate the process of pulling product data together from multiple sources, simplify the efforts for new products onboarding, implement product export channels for Petra’s eCommerce website, internal and external 3rd party systems as well as for its customers product feeds.
